Lt Gen Pradeep Chandran Nair, Director General of Assam Rifles, reaffirmed the force's commitment to modernize its equipment profile and enhance manpower skills. He praised Assam Rifles personnel for their role in counter-insurgency operations in the region and in Kashmir. Nair highlighted efforts to acquire state-of-the-art weapons, surveillance, and protective equipment. The force is also focusing on cybersecurity and signed an MoU with universities to upskill manpower. Assam Rifles received accolades, including unit citations, for their performance in 2023-24.
