A non-league football club was berated by their own official Twitter account- after the admin forgot to log out following a heavy defeat.
National League North side Farsley Celtic suffered an afternoon to forget after the Yorkshire club travelled 180 miles to play rivals Hereford only to find themselves 4-0 down to half-time.
But if that wasn’t bad enough, the team’s social media admin then made a hilarious gaffe by forgetting to log out of the club’s official Twitter account before going on a foul-mouthed tirade about the team’s performance.
‘Just paid £70 for me and my son to watch this sh**e’, the Farsley Celtic account tweeted, accompanied by a cry-laugh emoji.
The tweet was swiftly deleted after the admin appeared to notice the error of their ways, but not before it was screenshotted by an eagle-eyed fan and circulated on the social platform.
Farsley has suffered a string of poor performances, losing four games in a row and five out of their last seven matches. Their last victory was over a month ago, a narrow 1-0 win against Blyth Spartans.
The dismal run has seen them pushed closer to the relegation zone, with only a two-point gap separating them from the bottom three.
The Celt Army have been a National League North club since getting promoted in 2019, but are facing relegation this season unless their form drastically improves.
The side, managed by former Brentford and Birmingham City striker Clayton Donaldson, are currently two points ahead of 19th place Rushall Olympic, who are in the relegation zone.
