ONE couple have transformed an old school bus into a tiny home and they’ve even managed to build a shower in it.
CJ and Courtney have turned a classic American yellow school bus into a camper van and now travel the land of the free.

They’d travelled from Florida to Washington for six months by the time video was posted in April 2023.
Courtney said: “At first we absolutely hated it we had to get past the couple month period of figuring out how to live in the bus and how to be in the small space.
“After we got through that period, we love it, it’s home now.”
The couple were inspired to build the bus after Covid hit and they wanted a change of lifestyle.
Courtney said: “We went camping all the time, we were getting out of the city as much as we could at the time.
“We were sitting there together around the campfire one day and we thought ‘how can we do this forever, we want to do this for the rest of our lives’.”
After that point, they decided to build the liveable bus.
It took the pair six months to build and cost £8,800 to buy and £10,000 to convert.
A mechanic said the engine was fine, so the only work the couple did was to refit the interior to make it liveable.
Inside, they built a bed, kitchen, and even a shower into the side of the bus.
As the side of the bus curves in, their shower has a seat which the couple can use to get the spray.
The shower doubles as storage space when it isn’t being used.
The kitchen has a sink and a running tap which can be fed through a window if they need to shower outside.
The bus also has plenty of other amenities like a fridge, clothing storage, TV, and even a bed for the dog.
The couple built an air conditioning unit on top of the bus, but they can only run it off battery power for two hours.
This means in hot weather they have to “pick and choose” when they want their living space to cool down.
The bus is insulated well with foam board insulation under the floor, around the side of the bus, and in the ceiling.
Courtney said: “It’s one of those things you think is really intimidating when you look at it, you see these builds and think ‘there’s no way I could ever do that.
“But we did and it was a fun experience learning how to use a drill… and I would definitely do it again.
One adventurous couple from Idaho have been living in their portable tiny home for two years now and manage to work full-time from the road.
Josh, 27, and Emily Scherrer, 28, bought their 40ft long “skoolie” and have converted it into their dream pad on wheels.
To fill up Aurora it costs about £237, and they tend to do this once or twice a month.
They can save money on where they park though – and they typically try to find Forest Service land or BLM (Bureau of Land Management) land, which is free on certain days.
Thankfully there is a toilet and shower on board, and the waste has to be dumped every two weeks or so.
Converting Aurora to be a chic home was their biggest expense, and took a year and a half to complete, spending £63,000 on the conversion.
