Draymond Green cannot help himself. He keeps talking about Kevin Durant. He can’t stop and it’s getting a bit weird.
Obviously, these two aren’t the best of friends these days. The rift between them opened back up after fences seemed to be mended once Green struck Durant’s teammate earlier this season.
Durant publicly said he hoped Green would get the help he needs. Green didn’t like that. Now, apparently, there’s beef. Again.
It gets weirder every time Green mentions Durant on his podcast. Even when he doesn’t intend to take shots at Durant, it happens anyway. That’s what Green’s latest compliment of Kyrie Irving feels like.
To complement Irving, he made a weird comparison to Durant. Green said, “Kyrie Irving is the scorer that everyone thinks of, Kevin Durant.”
Don’t worry. If that doesn’t make sense to you, he broke it down.
“What I meant by that was there are some things at times that you can do to Kevin to make it a little tougher on him. He’s 7 feet and he handles the ball a lot. There are times where…if you time it right, you can press up into Kevin and make things a little tougher. Kyrie Irving, you can’t do anything to make it hard on him.”
Look, man. I get it. Irving is an incredible offensive talent. But, man. There don’t seem to be too many people bothering Durant these days - he’s averaging nearly 28 points a night with near 50-40-90 shooting splits.
Plus, this is just a weird comparison. We’re comparing a 7-foot wing player to a 6-foot-3 guard? I don’t know about this one, Draymond.
Not too many fans were feeling this.
