Donald Trump is appealing the $454 million civil judgement that was leveled against him after he was found liable in New York for financial fraud, but must pay a bond of the same amount while his appeal is still being considered. But according to his attorneys, none of the 30 entities they reached out to would serve as an underwriter for the bond.
Now, New York Attorney General Letitia James is threatening to seize Trump's assets if the bond is not posted by this Monday, prompting right-wing radio personality and Fox News weekend host Mark Levin to wonder where all the pro-Trump billionaires are.
“Why are there no Republican multi-billionaires offering to lend President Trump the funds to file his appeal in the outrageous case in NY state?” Levin wrote in a post to X. “Are none of them liquid enough to help or join with others to help? This is an outrage.”
In the comment thread that opened up beneath Levin's post, X users mocked Levin for suggesting that billionaires should rush to Trump's rescue.

"Won’t someone think of the little guy?!" wrote X user and self-described mayonnaise enthusiast Damin Toell.
"Maybe they see Trump as untrustworthy. He certainly doesn’t exhibit many honorable characteristics. Maybe you should lend him some money," wrote X user Denise Harrison.
"Mark, Give all you can He's counting on you buddy and you know Trump is good for it," wrote X user Hairbomb.
"Why should Republican multi-billionaires help Trump when he didn’t even help HIS OWN PEOPLE fund their defenses? That’s the actual outrage," wrote former Trump lawyer Jenna Ellis.
"How much have you personally offered to secure Mr. Trump's bond? If you're not willing to give up a few measly million of your own dollars you shouldn't be criticizing others for not putting up half a billion," wrote X user Crazy Fenak.
In addition to the $454 million judgment, Trump posted a $92 million bond earlier this month while he appeals the defamation verdict leveled against him from a civil suit brought by writer E. Jean Carroll. This is all on top of the mounting legal bills he faces related to the criminal cases that are currently underway against him.
