Steve Bannon pouts: Dem House won't certify Trump win 'because he's an insurrectionist'
A conservative podcast host who plotted to overturn the 2020 presidential election now fears that Democrats may refuse to certify Donald Trump's election if he wins in 2024.
"They're already talking about the possibility — this is the Democrats — of a contingent election," Bannon said on his Tuesday podcast. "The Democrats seeing lawfare collapse around their stopping Trump."
"They are working nonstop to see if they can take the House of Representatives by one or two," he continued. "They have a plan to actually take it in a win. And when they do that on January 6, they have no intention. They're they're not going to certify that Trump actually is—can be [president] because he's an insurrectionist. They're going to... say we can't certify this election because he's an insurrectionist."
Bannon said Democrats had a plan to keep Trump out of office.
"They plan that they will win in account of the states," he said. "They are doing everything possible, and they will pull — they will destroy any law, any custom, any tradition in order to destroy Donald Trump."

In 2020, after the presidential election, in which Joe Biden was declared the winner, Bannon, a former adviser to Trump, played a prominent role in efforts to challenge the election results.
Bannon, known for his political influence and strategies, strongly supported Trump's claims that Biden fraudulently won the election. He used his platform, particularly his popular podcast, to spread the message and rally support for Trump's cause.
Bannon advocated for investigations into the election results and promoted the idea that the presidency was stolen from Trump, despite a lack of evidence to support widespread voter fraud. He argued the Democratically-controlled House should not certify Biden's election.
His activities aligned with a broader movement among some of Trump's supporters, who sought to overturn the election results through legal challenges and public demonstrations. However, these efforts were unsuccessful, as multiple courts, including the Supreme Court, rejected the claims due to insufficient evidence.
