SCSO investigating death of incarcerated person
BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Saratoga County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of an incarcerated person at the Saratoga County Correctional Facility. Deputies say Derek Labutta, 43, of Schenectady, was found dead, alone in his cell around 7:12 Monday night.
Deputies say lifesaving measures were unsuccessful. The New York State Attorney General’s
Office of Special Investigation has exercised its jurisdiction due to the death of a person in a jail.
