My budget-friendly Walmart decor hack costs under $10 and will upgrade your table – people say it’s ‘a win win’
DECORATING on a dime has never been easier – it just takes some creativity and a bit of chump change.
One interior designer shares just how to get the decor of your dreams while staying on a budget.
Gilla Leigh (@gillaleighhome.designers) was ready to show off the “cute” pedestal tray she made out of affordable garden pots and saucers from Walmart.
She couldn’t believe the stylish selection of the backyard-friendly items with price tags that were mostly in the single digits.
Gilla immediately found a rustic-looking pot that was perfect for her interior upgrade project.
But she wasn’t done just yet.
Next, she found a matching saucer that she placed on top of the pot – and voila.
For less than $10 she had made her own decorative pedestal tray that she thought was ideal for holding candles or being used as a table centerpiece.
Her fans were also loving the posh and affordable trick.
“That’s a win win,” said one follower.
Others can also get their own $6.48 Better Homes & Gardens six-inch ceramic plant pot which is described as being made from all-natural earthenware.
The frugal outdoor find already had plenty of glowing reviews.
“Honestly you cannot beat this price for a ceramic planter of this quality,” wrote one purchaser.
“This is a beautiful little flowerpot – very rustic, almost vintage looking. It’s perfect for a small plant inside or outside,” said another buyer.
Others even had their own ideas for the pot and saucer combo.
“Instant bird bath,” said one viewer.
“Or bird feeder,” she replied.
“What size is that pot?” asked one watcher.
“This was the smallest size, but they have three different sizes that would work,” said Gilla.
