HITC have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are plotting a move for Fenerbahce ace Ferdi Kadioglu when the transfer window reopens in June.
The report claims that Ange Postecoglou wants to add cover to the full-back areas in the summer as he does not see Emerson Royal as a natural fit for the right-back role while there are question marks over whether Ben Davies is dynamic enough to invert.
As a result, the club are thought to be on the lookout for a full-back who can play at left-back as well as right-back, with Kadioglu fitting the bill.
HITC claim that Spurs have now joined Wolverhampton Wanderers in the race for the Fenerbache star, who was reportedly also the subject of interest from Arsenal during the January window.
The report points out that the Turkey international has thrived in both full-back areas at Istanbul this season, which has piqued Tottenham’s interest.
It is further explained that the 24-year-old started out his career as an attacking midfielder and with Postecoglou wanting his full-backs to occupy the number ten roles when his side has possession, the Turk is seen as someone who can easily adapt to the role.

Signing one full-back who can cover for both Udogie and Porro would make a lot of sense and I do wonder if Tottenham will be really tempted to re-sign Kyle Walker-Peters, particularly given that the North London side are also a bit short on homegrown players.
