Bankrupt Katie Price blacklisted by small business after failing to pay £168 bill saying ‘we did the work – now pay up!’
KATIE Price has been blacklisted by a small business after failing to pay a £168 bill.
The bankrupt glamour model, who was once worth £45million, owes Milborrow Chimney Sweeps £168 after the company cleaned two flues at her Sussex mansion.
According to the company, Katie’s assistant signed off on the work, which was completed on December 12, but payment has yet to be made.
The frustrated company took to Facebook to chase the money owed, demanding Katie pay up.
Commenting on Katie’s page they said: “You are such a scammer and a thief. How do you sleep at night ripping off local tradesmen and living the life you do?”
They then warned other tradesmen about doing business with her.
A spokesman for the business told the Sun: “We’ve been chasing that money. We’ve re-attended the property and they have acknowledged the debt and that the money is owed repeatedly, but it’s never been forthcoming.
“We weren’t aware of who it was until after the work was completed. We deal with lots of prestigious customers and high end people around the South East and, very frequently, we are unaware of who the end client is until you’re at the property. We’re quite used to doing that and the company respects that.
“We have worked with her previously at other properties, this is the first time we’ve been to this address. One hundred percent, this client will be blacklisted at this address.”
The spokesman described the small claims system as being “absolutely scuppered at the moment” meaning legal recourse is unlikely.
The Sun has contacted a representative for Katie for comment.
Just days ago a court ruled Katie must forfeit 40 percent of her income from OnlyFans to pay off her huge debts.
It emerged she has not paid any of the £12,500 monthly payments that she agreed to make in April last year.
Katie was meant to make these deposits for three years as well as a lump sum of £25,000 in July.
The mum-of-five allegedly owes HMRC £760,000 in unpaid tax, VAT and late payment penalties.
According to court papers seen by MailOnline, there had been a “failure to comply with a statutory demand for a liquidated sum, payable immediately”.
