Micky van de Ven has picked Fraser Forster as the biggest joker in the Tottenham Hotspur changing room.
Forster arrived at Tottenham from Southampton 18 months ago, with the Englishman serving as a backup to Hugo Lloris last season and before deputising for Guglielmo Vicario.
While the 35-year-old got plenty of game time last season due to Lloris’ injury woes, his only appearance so far this season came in the Carabao Cup clash against Fulham back in August of last year.
The England international has not been helped by the fact that Tottenham are not in European competitions this season and got knocked out of both domestic cup competitions early.
Journalist Tom Allnutt revealed last week on The Tottenham Way Podcast that even though Forster does not play much, he is a model professional, trains very hard on a regular basis and is very good for the dressing room morale.
This has now been backed up by Van de Ven, who when asked to pick the funniest teammate at Spurs, told the club’s official website: “Fraser Forster! He’s always joking around in the changing room.”

The role of a backup goalkeeper is quite unique as not only do clubs want a competent deputy but also someone who does not sulk at the lack of game time and continues to push his teammates on. In Forster, Spurs have found the perfect option and I would not be surprised if he is offered a contract extension.
