A CLEANING whizz mum has revealed a cheap and easy hack to keep your car mats looking spotless – and all you need is an item from Boots costing just £1.50.
The TikTok star known online as Newbie and Me went to her social media page to show her 141,000 followers just what the nifty trick involved.
In a short clip the voiceover says: “Parents, do you have this problem?” as the video shows a buggy being pushed along a path before cutting to a woman looking down at the dirty wheels.
It adds: “This life hack will keep your car clean from muddy pram wheels.”
The mum then looks happy as she holds up a couple of shower caps.
For the cheap and easy hack, the post recommends: “First fold your pram and place it on the boot.
“Then cover your pram wheels with shower caps.”
The mum is then seen fitting the elasticated plastic caps over the wheels to prevent the boot of her car from getting covered in dirt.
Boots is currently selling a pack of three clear shower caps for just £1.50 and shoppers who have an Advantage card also get 10 per cent off that price.
The post has been a big hit online, clocking up nearly 27,000 views and gaining 320 comments.
