Tottenham Hotspur wasted little time in the January transfer window in bringing in Timo Werner on loan.
Postecoglou decided to bolster his attacking options due to club captain Heung-min Son heading off to represent South Korea at the Asia Cup.
Werner has worked hard down the left hand-side during his brief stint at Tottenham and already has two assists in his seven Premier League outings to date.
The German international missed a guilty-edged chance during the first half against Crystal Palace last weekend when he tried to round the keeper, only for his shot to be saved but got his reward in the second half when he tapped home from close range (transfermarkt).
Fabrizio Romano has now revealed that Tottenham are pleased with the impact Werner has had, not only on the pitch but also how he has adapted within the dressing room.
Despite being on loan from RB Leipzig, the striker does not see his long-term future with the Bundesliga outfit.
Romano told the Here We Go Podcast when asked whether Spurs have made the decision to make the move permanent in the summer:
“Not yet, there’s no final decision made yet but they’re very happy with Timo Werner, not just on the pitch, also off the pitch, how he has started making a connection with the rest of the squad.
“Tottenham are quite happy with Timo Werner and the plan of the player is not to stay at Leipzig in the long-term,”.

With Tottenham having the option to buy Werner for around £15m, they would be daft not to considering that hopefully, next season the club will be looking to compete on multiple fronts.
Spurs have lacked depth in key positions this season on occasion and Werner certainly looks like he has the right attitude to accept his role within the Tottenham first-team squad.
