The March Madness action begins to crescendo this week as the Big East prepares for its annual college women’s basketball tournament starting on Friday in Uncasville, Connecticut. The conference is led by a top-10 team, the UConn Huskies, who put up a perfect 18-0 record against fellow Big East schools which gave them a three-game cushion in the final standings. Only the Creighton Bluejays came close with their 15-3 finish, but the rest of the conference lagged far behind the top perch.
