New Seasons' Milwaukie location to host grand opening in late March

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – New Seasons is finally making its way down to Milwaukie, bringing a healthy dose of seasonal produce, local meats, and select goods to the area.

The new store, located at the Milwaukie Marketplace on Southeast Oak Street, will officially open on March 27. Its grand opening will feature a bread-breaking ceremony, live music, farm animals, and plenty of samples.

"As the doors swing open at New Seasons Market Milwaukie Marketplace, we’re overwhelmed with gratitude for the warmth and support from our incredible community,” said Store Manager Joe McCarthy. “Together, let's continue to cultivate a vibrant, healthy and thriving neighborhood. Thank you for welcoming us.”

New Seasons first announced its plans to take over a vacant grocery space in 2022. The company expects the store to create more than 100 jobs while supporting local producers in the Pacific Northwest.

Milwaukie Mayor Lisa Batey said the community is “thrilled” to have the grocer come to the area.

“They are not only providing quality food products and jobs for our residents, but also helping rejuvenate and bring life to Milwaukie Marketplace,” Batey said. “We are fortunate to have them as our newest neighbor.”

New Seasons Market CEO Nancy Lebold said she is deeply grateful for the opportunity to expand the store to the area and the community’s support throughout the process.

“I would also like to express my deepest gratitude to the city, whose invaluable support has been instrumental in bringing our vision to life,” LeBold said. “We are not just opening a store; together, we are weaving the very fabric of what community and local living stand for.
