Elizabeth Hurley is tackling a steamy new movie role in Strictly Confidential, but it’s the director who is making waves after the release of the film’s trailer. Damian Hurley, the 21-year-old son of Elizabeth, directed his mom in a thriller with intrigue, possible murder, and… get ready for it…. sex scenes.
The story involves Mia, (Georgia Lock) who is searching for answers after the mysterious death of her bestie, Rebecca (Lauren McQueen). Elizabeth plays a member of Rebecca’s family who might hold the key to the death — and it’s a dark secret. The video clip sets up an intriguing premise until… record scratch… the 58-year-old spends considerable time hooking up with another woman (Pear Chiravara) in the trailer (and we are not sure why). Let’s just say the comments on YouTube are saying everything that crossed our minds after watching the trailer.
“so…we not gonna talk elizabeths son directing her in this movie and in …that sexy scene with the girl and the….,” one YouTube account wrote. Another chimed in, “Hahahha what a low-budget, debauched hot mess!! I LOVE IT!” “Bro… that’s your mom,” commented another user. And of course, there’s always this hot take, “Can’t wait! God bless Damian for writing a lesbian scene for his Mother! That’s love,” they wrote. Viewers need to remember that this film is labeled as an erotic thriller, so Elizabeth’s sexy moment is par for the movie genre — and Damian’s mom was up for the challenge.
Damian told People that the Elizabeth Hurley Beach founder “dropped everything” to star in his film. “During the making of my first-ever short film back in 2010 when I was 8, my mother promised me she’d be in my first feature. True to her word, the minute Strictly Confidential was green-lit, my mother dropped everything and raced out to the Caribbean to help,” he shared. They sometimes had “complicated” moments on set since he was in charge, and she was the star, but “it was a joy to come to work and tackle each day together.”
As the son of a famous celebrity he also understands his privilege as a “nepo baby” in Hollywood. He was grateful to “have the opportunity” to direct his first feature at “such a young age and so early in [his career].” Strictly Confidential will be heading to select theaters and on demand on April 5, so fans will be able to judge for themselves if Damian directing his mom’s sex scenes was an expression of art or just downright uncomfortable.
