Firefighters responded Tuesday to Hill Court in Havre de Grace, where a fire caused an estimated $450,000 in damage.
A fire broke out at a Harford County home early Tuesday morning, causing an estimated $450,000 in damage, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
The office said in a news release that investigators believe the blaze originated in the sunroom of the two-story home on the 300 block of Hill Court in Havre de Grace; its cause was accidental and “related to a space heater.”
Roughly 65 Harford County firefighters responded to the blaze at about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, and it took about 45 minutes for them to control it, the fire marshal’s office said.
Nobody was injured by the fire itself, though a firefighter was taken from the scene to a hospital for a “medical issue” that was “not traumatic or burn related,” Oliver Alkire, a deputy state fire marshal and spokesperson for the office, wrote in an email.
