A WEIGHT loss blogger said her phobia of body odor led her to find the perfect solution.
Her trick is sanctioned by doctors and costs $9 via Amazon.
TikToker Myriam Estrella (@myriamestrella8) is on a fitness journey and shares tips with her followers.
She’s become known for her honesty, admitting in one video that she has “an irrational fear of being stinky.”
But with that confession comes a solution.
“Let me show you the number one thing I use — that’s very cheap because I’m a girl on a budget — to never, ever, be stinky,” she said.
A doctor told her to purchase Hibiclens, an antiseptic antimicrobial skin cleanser.
It costs $8.95 on Amazon and has a rating of 4.6 out of 5 stars, based on more than 4.500 reviews.
Myriam’s tip will work for people of all sizes.
“This is for everyone. The big girls, the small girls, the guys, everyone,” she said.
Myriam went to the dermatologist after she developed “painful” cysts under her breast.
“Hibiclens bonds with the skin and kills microorganisms for up to 24 hours even after it is rinsed off,” its description said.
Not only did it eliminate the cysts, but it also left Myriam “smelling like nothing.”
“If I forget to use deodorant for a day, there is no smell,” she said. “And that includes walking and sweating.”
Myriam said Hibiclens works because it kills bacteria for up to 24 hours after you put it on.
The TikToker said to only place the isolation on sweaty areas, otherwise it might dry your skin out.
People on TikTok agreed that Hibiclens was a good way to eliminate smells, but warned against using it internally.
“Hibiclens is amazing but make sure to use it externally only because it does dry out mucous membranes,” one person said.
“I love hibiclens. I use it on my armpits regularly to help with underarm breakouts,” a second wrote.
“I’m a skinny girl who’s also paranoid about being stinky. Thank you so much for not gatekeeping,” a third posted.
