Hibernian boss Nick Montgomery has revealed that Dylan Levitt is back in the reckoning to feature against Hearts in the Edinburgh derby on Wednesday night.
Hibs scored a big win at home on Saturday when they beat fellow top-six hopefuls Dundee 2-1.
The win ended a poor run of form and boosted their chances of breaking into the Scottish Premiership’s top six before the split
They have a big game coming up on Wednesday when they will travel to Tynecastle to take on Hearts in the Edinburgh derby.
Levitt has been a key player for Hibs this season but was not fit to play in the win over Dundee.
But Montgomery insisted that the midfielder is now in contention to play in the derby after training for the last two days.
The Hibs boss was quoted as saying by the club’s official website: “Dyl has been back in training the last two days.
“Unfortunately, he missed the Dundee game, but he’s back in contention for tomorrow.”
With the options in his squad, Montgomery conceded that he has a pleasant headache when it comes to selecting the team for the derby on Wednesday night.
“I’ve said this the last few weeks, but it’s now a headache to pick the team and the bench.
“At times there’s been players missing out, but these are the headaches you want. Everyone is desperate to play tomorrow.
“I’ll put a team out that’s capable of winning the game.
“As always, it’s about the squad, the subs, and making sure everyone is behind the team.
“We go into it looking to get a result.”
