Prince George, BC: Adam Csabi and George Stavrianeas had goals, but they were bookended around 4 Spruce Kings goals in a 4-2 loss at Kopar Memorial Arena on Satuday.
Adam Csabi opened the scoring in the second period after a nice feed from Hank Cleaves from behind the net. It the rookies 18th goal of the season.
PG would then strike on the powerplay, before netting 3 goals in just a handful of minutes later in the period to pull away.
Early in the 3rd period George Stavrianeas deflected a point shot home for his 9th goal of the season. The Vipers pushed to get it a bit closer, but couldn’t shrink the deficit.
Ethan David finished with 29 saves on 33 shots. The Vipers didn’t receive a powerplay in the game and their PK was 2 of 3.
Linden Makow and JR Perdion had two goals. Ryan Sanborn made 21 saves on 23 shots.
The Vipers host the Spruce Kings Friday night at Kal Tire Place.
