Dale Bonner hit a three-pointer to beat the buzzer, lifting the Buckeyes to a 60-57 win over Michigan State and ending the team's 17-game road losing streak dating back to New Year's Day 2023.
After trailing by ten at the half, Ohio State chipped away at the Spartans' lead. With six seconds to go, the Buckeyes drove the ball up the floor, with Bruce Thornton providing Bonner the opportunity to take the three-point shot from the left wing over Michigan State's Tyson Walker.
Devin Royal scored a career-high 14 points in the win as Ohio State improves to 16-12, 6-11 in Big Ten play. The win also marked the first on the road for interim head coach Jake Diebler.
