AUSTIN (KXAN) — Emergency personnel responded to a two-vehicle crash involving five people in northwest Austin Sunday afternoon.
The crash happened in the area near Technology Boulevard and McNeil Drive, Austin Fire Department officials said.
Austin-Travis County EMS said multiple ambulances have been assigned to the scene, and officials are asking people to avoid the area. Firefighters helped extract patients from the vehicles.
ATCEMS said five people were involved in the crash. One adult patient being taken to St. David's Round Rock Medical Center with serious and potentially life-threatening injuries, while two other patients were taken to the same hospital with potentially serious injuries.
Two other people involved refused transport, officials said.
