A WOMAN has revealed that her dad thought it would be a good idea to order a set of fake teeth from Temu – but it turned out to be a total fail.
Emma Jones explained her 75-year-old dad bought himself a pair of clip-in veneer-style teeth from online marketplace Temu.
Pronounced tee-moo, last year, the e-commerce company, which offers heavily discounted consumer goods which are mostly shipped to customers directly from China, was the UK’s most downloaded app.
Despite a variety of recent Temu fails, from a water bottle blunder to a jumpsuit error, Emma’s dad Mike clearly wasn’t put off as he ordered his set of pearly whites.
However, when the fake teeth arrived, Emma and her family were left in cackling with laughter as Mike showed off his new smile.
Posting on social media, Emma documented the moment to share with her followers.
And not only has the video left people in hysterics, but many have compared Mike’s teeth to ‘Jurgen Klopp from Wish’ and ‘Austin Powers’.
In the short clip, we saw MIke in a kitchen, as Emma penned: “When your dad offers teeth from Temu.”
Emma begged Mike to “show your teeth” but the clearly embarrassed man was seen from behind, shaking his head.
But after multiple requests, Mike shrugged his shoulders and turned around, showing off his white gnashers.
The teeth, which were extremely bright and weren’t stuck in place left the room in fits of laughter, whilst Mike raised his eyebrows at the blunder.
Emma later added: “He’s 75 I’m assuming he expected to be able to wear them.
“They were definitely pearly white.”
While Love Islanders have fuelled the £4.6billion ‘Turkey teeth’ industry and splashed £290,000 on their gnashers, clip-in veneers are of course a much more affordable option.
Emma didn’t confirm how much her dad paid for the fake teeth, you can find a huge variety of similar clip-in veneers on Temu, with prices starting at just 89p – yes, you heard that correctly.
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @theofficialmeetthejonsez, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly gone viral and has since racked up a staggering 1.7 million views in just one day.
Social media users were in hysterics at Mike’s blunder and many were keen to express this.
One person said: “Proper hilarious.”
Another added: “I think Mr Temu wants his teeth back.”
To this, Emma replied: “Mr Temu can have them back.”
A third joked: “[Temu] should have an age restriction.”
In response, Emma explained: “He loves Temu.”
Meanwhile, another Temu fan admitted: “I won’t order them then.”
Emma then replied and shared: “Defo not…they were like the Halloween ones.”

At the same time, many users took to the comments to share comparisons with Mike’s Temu teeth.
One person expressed: “Looks no different than the guys that go to Turkey for veneers.”
Someone else chimed in: “Ross [from Friends] with the teeth whitening.”
A third asked: “Austin Powers is that you?”
Not only this, but another claimed: “Jurgen Klopp from Wish.”
But Mike isn’t the only customer who has had a Temu fail.
Following a Fabulous investigation into the toxic truth of Temu, it appears that beneath the dirt-cheap prices and mind-boggling array of products, lurks a growing sense of unease.
The site has been dogged by negative reviews, claims of undelivered parcels, poor customer service and, most concerning of all, an “extremely high risk” of forced labour.
Now, some critics are questioning if Temu — which means Team Up, Price Down — could, in fact, be toxic.
Founded in September 2022 by Chinese e-commerce giant PDD Holdings, Temu advertises itself as an online marketplace connecting consumers with millions of sellers and brands, with “the mission to empower them to live their best lives”.
Despite shrewd marketing and rock-bottom prices, the site suffers from some damning reviews.
On TrustPilot, the app scores a fairly reasonable 3.5 stars out of five — but 31 percent of users give it just one.
The environmental impact of Temu’s suppliers is another cause for concern, while there are serious concerns regarding workers’ rights.
In June, US lawmakers warned there was an “extremely high risk” that products sold on the site had been made by forced labour.
It’s feared the products are being made by Uyghur Muslim people, detained by the Chinese authorities since 2017 in what they say are “re-education” camps in Xinjiang.
Temu did not respond to our request for comment.
