LOVE Island stars Anton Danyluk and Georgia Harrison have already hit a major stumbling block after returning home to the UK.
Anton, 29, has revealed Georgia, also 29, met his beloved mum Sherie-Ann but says she was “skeptical” about the blonde star.
The Scottish mummy’s boy has previously admitted he takes relationship advice from Sherie-Ann and listens to her opinion on his girlfriends.
Appearing on Heart Scotland today, Anton said he has now met Georgia’s mum and that they hit it off.
But things didn’t go so well during a video call between Georgia and his own mum Sherie-Ann, who is Italian.
“We spent Wednesday night together. [Georgia’s] mum came down, we all had a drink together,” he said.
“Yeah, and her mum just was like… loves me, absolutely loves me. And yeah, next week I’m down in London with her, and then she’ll be coming up to Scotland very soon!”
Host Jennifer Reoch replied: “I was going to say, is she meeting your mum?”
Anton told her: “Well, she’d done a FaceTime with my mum…”
Jennifer’s co-host Des Clarke asked: “How did it go, Anton?”
But laughing nervously, Anton admitted: “It went as well as it could have went, hahaha!
“My mum’s obviously a little bit sceptical and Georgia was like, ‘Look, you’re rightly so. I get it, I one hundred per cent get it. But I’ll win you over.’
“And that’s what I love about Georgia, she’s got thick skin and if any girl can take my mum, it’s Georgia, trust me.”
Throughout his stint on Love Island All Stars, Anton’s mum Sherie-Ann made sure to tune in to every single episode on ITV2.
Known for shaving his bum for him on the outside, Sherie-Ann would then give her verdict on the show in a live Instagram video after it had aired.
While in the villa, Anton and Georgia were called out several times by fellow housemates who felt their romance was ‘one-sided’, including her pal Josh Ritchie.
And it appears Sherie-Ann may have agreed.
Following the series finale on Monday night, she gave her closing thoughts – but failed to mention Georgia H.
She even revealed she had been championing first place finishers Molly Smith and Tom Clare to win the show.
“It’s a great morning for Molly and Tom, I’ve been rooting for them all the way!”
Refusing to mention her son’s lady, she went on: “I’m looking forward to my boy coming home.
“The pasta sauce has been cooking since yesterday so by the time he gets home tomorrow the sauce will be delicious.
“A big thanks to everybody, all my love to everyone that supported Anton.”
WINNERS – Tom Clare and Molly Smith
2nd place – Callum Jones and Jess Gale
3rd place – Sophie Piper and Joshua Ritchie
4th place – Georgia Steel and Toby Aromolaran
5th place – Georgia Harrison and Anton Danyluk
Just a week earlier, Sherie-Ann admitted Anton – who is her only child – may need to call it quits with Georgia.
Asked by OK! magazine what advice she would give her boy, Sherie-Ann said: “I’d probably say, ‘If you really like Georgia and are really serious, which you seem to be, just keep plugging away.
“‘But don’t plug for too long, son. If she’s not into you, then she’s not into you.
“‘You’ll feel it if she isn’t. If you think she’s worth it, then keep going. Just see how it goes’.”
Sherie-Ann finished by confirming she needed to meet Georgia in the flesh before making a decision on whether she is ‘The One’ for her son.
Anton and Georgia finished Love Island All Stars in fifth place.
