Saratoga Springs restaurant closes its doors

30 Lake, located at 30 Lake Avenue inside the Perennial Apartments in Saratoga Springs, has permanently closed its doors. The owners made the announcement on the 30 Lake Facebook page on February 19.

Hattie’s in Albany to open on March 14

Hattie’s Albany will officially open its doors at 121 Madison Avenue on March 14. It is the fourth edition of Hattie’s to join Business for Good companies.

Schenectady Restaurant Week is returning from February 26 to March 3. Participating restaurants will be serving special pre-fixe menus for $20, $30, or $40.

Nominations are now open for the eighth annual Best New York Burger competition. Each year, the New York Beef Council holds the competition to find the best burger in New York State.

Bennington cafe expanding, moving to space downtown

Nicole Bozeman has owned the cafe at 704 Main Street in Bennington since the summer of 2022. She officially renamed it The Local in January 2023 and is now moving the cafe downtown to 434 Main Street.

Wing Fest making its return to Glens Falls

Glens Falls Wing Fest will be making its return in the spring. The annual event is scheduled for April 27 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Artisan pizza shop opens in Latham’s Newton Plaza

A new artisan pizzeria has opened in Latham’s Newton Plaza. MidPoint Artisan Pizza officially opened on February 19.

Applebee’s in Hudson permanently closing

The Capital Region is losing another Applebee’s location. The restaurant at 420 Fairview Avenue in Hudson will be permanently closing.

Toxic environment forces Guilderland library cafe to close, owners say

Café con Mel officially opened in the Guilderland Public Library in September 2023. On Wednesday, owners Melanie Diaz Partak and Joy Mercado Anderson made the announcement that the cafe has closed indefinitely due to a toxic work environment.
