Dejan Kulusevski explains why he is looking forward to two weeks off at Spurs

Dejan Kulusevski has insisted that Tottenham will come back stronger and bounce back swiftly after being on the receiving end of an upset against Wolves at home on Saturday.

Heading into last Saturday’s game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, there had been a few red flags with Spurs’ displays over recent weeks.

The likes of Everton and Brighton had shown how some of the Lilywhites’ weaknesses can be exploited and Wolves unsurprisingly stuck to a similar playbook and managed to frustrate the home side.

The 2-1 loss to the West Midlands side leaves Ange Postecoglou’s men two points short of fourth-placed Aston Villa, putting to rest any notions of the club potentially chasing down the top three.

Kulusevski thinks two weeks of coaching will do Spurs some good

The Australian coach will now have two weeks on the training ground to work with the Spurs squad before they return to action against Crystal Palace on March 2, and Kulusevski insisted that he and his teammates will put that time to good use and work on their weaknesses.

The Swede told Tottenham’s official website: “If you win or you lose, you have to go on the journey again. We have two weeks to work. I’m looking forward to it, two weeks of training, it’s not usual, so it will be very good.

“One day, we will rest, then go as hard as possible, and we’ll come back stronger. There are 13 games left and I’m sure we’ll do good.”

The players will not let their heads drop after this defeat as they will know that the team is still a work in progress and that they are only at the start of this project.

Postecoglou will want to see a reaction from the side against Palace but that clash could prove a little complicated given that the Eagles could have a new manager after Oliver Glasner’s arrival.
