Watson Links Mentors Foundation named Pauly Hart as its new executive director in January of this year. Hart will focus on running Watson Links, a nationwide program inspired by eight-time major champion Tom Watson, chairman of Watson Links Mentors Foundation.
The Watson Links program provides opportunities for kids to learn and love golf.
“We believe that our program will produce young people who will develop a passion for golf and become lifetime golfers,” Watson said.
Hart is a longtime golfer with experience in the nonprofit and mentoring worlds. Hard most recently spent eight years as the executive director of Lead to Read KC, where she championed early literacy in Kansas City and nearly quadrupled the size of their signature Reading and Mentoring program.
“Golf is a unique sport because it’s more than physical activity,” Hart said. “It promotes mental health; it teaches patience and problem-solving skills and helps develop strong relationships.”
