UNFORGOTTEN star Nicola Walker is unrecognisable in her brand new Sky period drama.
The actress is known to her fans as DCI Cassie Stewart in the hit ITV crime drama.
But next month she’ll take on a whole new role in Mary and George.
A trailer for the new period series based on King James I’s reign has been released showing Nicola in the role.
She plays Lady Elizabeth Hatton and can be seen on screen from March 5th.
The Sun previously revealed a first look at the show, which is based on the non-fiction book The King’s Assassin.
The seven-part series sees Mary (Julianne Moore), always the smartest person in the room, thrust her young son George (Nicolas Galitzine), known to be beautiful and charismatic, into the spotlight.
She tasks him with pursuing and seducing the King to climb the social ladder as their family struggles for money and status, and make himself one of the most powerful men in England.
But once at the top, the drama follows as the bloody game to stay in the King’s favour unfolds.
Nicola‘s new role comes after she was written out of Unforgotten in a move that left fans devastated.
She had played DCI Cassie for six years, starring alongside Sanjeev Bhaskar.
