Olivia, 32, appeared on the third series of Love Island in 2017 and since then has managed to carve out a successful TV career.
Coleen said: “Olivia is 100 per cent who she is and I love her for that. She is working out brilliantly on Loose Women and she is lovely to be around.”
But the I am in the Mood for Dancing singer had less flattering words for other celebrities, adding to ongoing speculation that beneath the gritted smiles, all is not well at Loose Women
Speaking on the Scott Thomas podcast, Learning as I Go, Coleen said: “ I’ve seen people who play that game. Luckily whether it’s two years or five years they’ll get caught out if they are faking it because you can only fake that for so long.”
And Coleen didn’t hold back, branding various celebs “arseholes.’
She said: “They’re just arseholes, so many, so many, and you can’t say it you want to go to the public they are absolutely talking crap because they are the biggest diva or the nastiest person you know behind, off camera, but you have to sit there and go ‘yeah lovely”
Despite its popularity, Loose Women has been through a turbulent time of late, with many high profile stars quitting over claims of a toxic work environment.
In September last year, Penny Lancaster leftthe show, having been a regular face since 2014. The 52 year old model who is married to Rod Stewart was said to be unhappy with the atmosphere backstage, as well as being irritated by various changes to the contract.
Her exit followed that of former panelists Carol McGiffin who left in May 2023 over similar complaints about the contract.
Panelist Nadia Sawalha told The Sun in 2021 that the ladies were prone to having “the most enormous arguments – not even necessarily on air,” adding:
“I mean when we’re having the pre-meeting, when we’re deciding what we want to talk about”.
Indeed Coleen herself was also at the centre of Loose Women’s most notorious showdown ever, when an interview with Kim Woodburn careered out of control back in 2018.
The Nolans sister was forced to deny being a bully after she and her sister Linda were accused of ganging up on her former Celebrity Big Brother co-star.
The interview ended when sharp-tongued Kim stormed off the set, shouting:
“I wouldn’t want to sit and talk with lying trash. She’s a horrible person. You are trash, you’re a piece of filth!”
