A FURNITURE flipper by nature, one woman has exposed some amazing Home Goods dupes.
She has discovered you can get the same decor for your home from Amazon for half the price.
In some cases, these copycats have saved shoppers hundreds of dollars.
This is no new territory for Flipdaddie (@flipdaddie).
Her ability for “furniture flips, DIYs, and dupes” has seen her grow a huge following of 687,000 on TikTok.
In this post, she was taking on a home furnishings store.
“I’m obsessed with these finds,” she said.
“Home Goods is going to come for me after this one.
“Home Goods furniture I found for less on Amazon,” she added.
She found almost a like-for-like for this piece of furniture.
It was an elegant, black statement piece.
“Look this storage cabinet found at Home Goods for $500,” she said.
“It is sold for only $300 on Amazon.”
There was little to tell the difference between the expensive and cheaper versions of these items.
“This swivel chair from Homegoods is sold for $400,” she said.
“But you can get the same one on Amazon for $240.”
It was a similar story with this copycat table lamp. It was hard to tell the difference.
“This lamp from Home Goods you can also find on Anthropologie for $228, [but] it is sold on Amazon for $52,” she said.
She left the biggest surprise for last.
“Oh wait, it gets better,” she wrote.
She spotted an affordable version of a very expensive statement piece from Anthropologie.
“This $2,700 storage cabinet from Anthropologie has a dupe on Amazon for $645,” she wrote.
Commenters were divided in their opinions.
“Don’t forget about having to assemble furniture,” one person pointed out.
“True true,” she said, acknowledging them.
“Okay, but a dupe isn’t always the same. Materials and the quality of construction could vary. Price isn’t the only factor,” observed a second person.
“I bought the Anthropologie cabinet and it’s honestly worth the price,” said one happy owner.
But other viewers loved a dupe just as much as she did.
“I love this type of content. Please do more,” begged one.
“You are out there doing the Lord’s work,” said another.
“I Google image search everything because of this right here,” admitted this viewer.
