ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Leaders in Albany helped job seekers connect with potential employment opportunities with the city. The city hosted a job fair on Tuesday at the Workforce Services building on Central Avenue.
Representatives from the Office of Human Resources and the police department were in attendance to inform people about job vacancies and training opportunities. Organizers said the goal is to reach as many people as possible.
"Sometimes, people that are looking for jobs don't always learn about them at one specific event, so we just wanted to highlight and bring these opportunities to our community," Dir. of Human Resources Tatiana Diaz said.
The city plans to hold similar events each month.
