Sales broker Josh McLean at David Walters Yachts has listed the 2007 Antigua 60 Custom Soolaimon for sale. The yacht is available for viewings in Annapolis, Maryland, where it is listed with an asking price of $550,000.
“Soolaimon is an extraordinary luxury cruising yacht with a robust and sea-kindly shoal draft hull, and an exquisite custom three-stateroom varnished teak interior,” McLean states in the listing. “Configured and equipped for offshore cruising, few boats can measure up to the comfort and luxury of Soolaimon.”
Built in 2007 with a fiberglass hull, the center-cockpit design has features such as automated sail handling, Leisure Furl in-boom mainsail furling, a self-tacking staysail, oversized systems, expansive side decks with direct walk-through access to the center cockpit. Most of the systems were installed from 2007 to 2015, according to the brokerage house.
Altogether, the design and features are intended to make cruising easy for a couple (or for a solo sailor) who want to head out with no crew.
Shoal draft on Soolaimon is 5 feet, 8 inches, which should allow entry to most of the pretty spots in shallower destinations such as the Bahamian islands. For sailors who want to set a course along the Intracoastal Waterway, bridge clearance on this vessel is 5 feet, 4 inches.
“This is the ideal sailing yacht for a couple or family with a desire for limitless cruising without sacrificing the comforts of home,” McLean says.
Some additional key features aboard Soolaimon include under-counter lights, LED courtesy lights, automatic lighting in the hanging lockers, and LED rope lighting throughout the interior. In the main salon, the table can be used at a low height for cocktails, or a dining table with seating for eight, or a double berth for occasional guests. The settees here are covered in Ultraleather for durability in the marine environment, and there’s an ice maker in the entertainment center. A 40-inch Sony high-definition 3D television is on a swivel, for viewing from multiple locations.
For music lovers, there’s a Sony Marine Drive 5 XM radio, MP3, iPod and CD player, along with Bose surround-sound speakers in the salon and in the cockpit. The TV tracking system is by Intellian.
