A TATTOO enthusiast described the meltdown she had after first laying eyes on her new ink.
She explained her instant regret over the bad tattoo, which she said wasn’t on the cheap side.
A TikTok user explained why she instantly regretted her arm tattoo[/caption]In her video, the TikTok user (@user530266021160k) recounted the story of how she got a tattoo she didn’t want.
“I recently got a tattoo that I absolutely hated and what makes it worse is that it was my biggest tattoo, my most expensive tattoo,” she said.
The young woman explained that had been planning the ink for over a year and had traveled to New York to get it.
“I spent days researching artists to find the perfect one, and I had such utter trust in this artist,” she said.
“I don’t even want to share how much I paid for it, it would be the equivalent of a decently nice sleeve.”
She told her viewers that she was “so excited” in the build-up to the appointment but her mood instantly changed when she saw the inking.
“When she turned around and showed it to me when it was done my first reaction was ‘Holy s**t, this is not what I wanted,'” she recalled.
She described holding back her tears as the artist took pictures of her handy work but requesting changes afterward.
The tattoo artist said no and so the woman went back to her brother’s apartment and “just cried hysterically by myself.”
She showed her followers the tattoo which she eventually got used to over time.
“It’s these vines that wrap around my arm and honestly speaking, it’s not a bad tattoo, it could be way worse, at least it wasn’t a typo or a straight-up mistake,” she said.
“The thing is it just wasn’t what I wanted, it wasn’t what I asked for.”
She explained that the colors and their arrangement were not how she had pictured them.
“The whole thing was a miscommunication and I understand that partially it was my fault too,” she told her audience.
“It came down to me having too much trust in the artist to execute my vision.”
Her followers shared their thoughts on the situation in the comments section.
“Tattoo regret in the first couple weeks is soooo real,” wrote one viewer.
“Do NOT go back to that artist. Find another artist to rework it,” said another TikTok user.
“That’s so easy to fix! You can definitely get it covered up with a better design,” commented a third person.
