Dr. Martens has teamed up with Girls Don’t Cry for the first time on the release of an all-new iteration of the brand’s Ramsey creeper.
The new Ramsey creeper, crafted from black Smooth leather, features a statement Hair On vamp and D-ring eyelets. Additionally, the low-top shoe is elevated on a smoke wedge platform sole with exaggerated cleating, signature Dr. Martens grooving and the brand’s iconized welt stitching.
The creepers are also adorned with branded details that appear on the shoe’s heels and laces. These adornments include a Girls Don’t Cry gold heart charm and Dr. Martens signature black and yellow scripted heel loop.
Verdy, the founder and designer of Girls Don’t Cry, revealed the collaboration is inspired by his wife and her connection to the British footwear brand. “This is a very special project for me and especially my wife since she used to work at Dr. Martens. I am happy to bring this collaboration to life.”
Darren McKoy, creative director of Dr. Martens, emphasized the deeper meaning behind the partnership. “Teaming up with Verdy and Girls Don’t Cry isn’t just about fashion – it’s staying connected to the shared cultural touchpoints. Our close-knit bond with the GDC team mirrors our shared commitment to our likeminded community. The iconic creeper silhoutte with hair on details – it flips the script, it’s a classic with a twist.”
The Dr. Martens x Girls Don’t Cry collaborative shoe wil be available to purchase from Feb. 29 to March 1 at drmartens.com and in select retail stores.
Dr. Martens has collaborated with several other brands over the past several years including a recent partnership with Rick Owens on the 1460 DMXL Megalace boot silhouette. The style featured an exaggerated lace system, a signature of the Rick Owens brand, anchored by brushed silver hardware.
