A TRAVELER has shared the skincare tip she picked up from her trip to Italy.
Although it was the same beauty advice that Jennifer Lopez got trolled for using, she verified that it did, in fact, work wonders.
Remy shared the skincare trick she picked up from her trip to Italy[/caption]Remy (@remykay_) shared the skincare advice in a TikTok video.
The foodie explained that she had just gotten back from a three-week Italy and France vacation, where she had divulged in European cuisine and learned a “huge beauty hack.”
“Good news is, it’s not too expensive,” she said.
“This is actually the same thing that J.Lo claims is how she gets her amazing glowing skin.
“She gets called out because people say she’s lying about not having Botox. No comment there but I definitely think that this makes a huge difference.”
She revealed that olive oil consumption was the key to her improved skin and the proof lies in the pudding.
“I noticed the whole time I was there how amazing Italian skin is. I would be at the beach and there would be a 60-year-old woman. I would be staring at her legs thinking they were nicer than mine,” she said.
After the observation, she realized that she was consuming more olive oil in Italy than she had ever before.
“They serve it on the table like a condiment. You are just guzzling that s**t,” she said.
“Two weeks in, I start to notice that my skin is feeling really soft.”
Olive oil, rich in healthy monounsaturated fats and antioxidants, has been shown to have excellent moisturizing benefits, especially for dry or compromised skin.
Although Remy normally had dry skin that was “rough to the touch,” she was shocked when for the first time in her life, she had soft skin.
Since her return home, she’s kept up with her olive oil consumption and said it’s continued to make strides in her complexion and other areas as well.
“I’ve started to notice a difference also in my eyebrows getting thicker, my eyelashes getting thicker. My hair also seems shinier and it’s growing super fast,” she said.
For those interested in the hack, she recommended opting for purer sources of extra virgin olive oil.
“The quality in addition to the quantity can make a big difference,” she said.
