STAYING cozy throughout the winter doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg.
One homeowner shared the heating trick her family uses to keep their entire space warm.
In her video, Kenci Grayson (@memoriesonadime) explained how she has managed to save money without cutting the heat in her home.
“I want to talk about how we heat our house for about $800 a winter,” the TikToker said.
She revealed that she uses a unique style of stove to spread heat throughout her space.
“We have two pellet stoves, we have one inside and we have one in our garage,” Kenci told her viewers.
“Our garage does not run all the time, only when my husband is out there, but our pellet stove inside runs pretty much all winter long.”
Kenci explained that within the first year of purchase, the stove had “paid for itself.”
“It definitely saved us thousands of dollars,” she told her followers.
She demonstrated how to use the stove, lifting the top to reveal the pellets inside.
“What you do is pick this up, and you have this hopper and you put these pellets in there,” Kenci explained.
“The pellets come in a bag, we usually get ours at Rural King or Tractor Supply, Lowe’s sells them, and other stores like that.
“Simply open the bag and pour it in there and this will save you thousands of dollars a year by investing in pellets.”
Kenci told her audience that she couldn’t “speak enough about how this was worth the investment.”
One of her followers shared their own experience using a pellet stove to heat their home.
“We had a pellet, we went to wood but I do believe pellet stoves save money,” the TikTok user wrote.
