NEW YORK (PIX11) – The cost of auto insurance is on the rise as gas prices are starting to creep up again.
The average price of full-coverage auto insurance has jumped over 25% nationwide, according to a report from Bankrate.
New York state drivers already pay one of the highest premiums in the country.
Experts said car crash deaths, thefts, vehicle parts, labor costs and extreme weather claims have all contributed to the increase.
