It’s A Big Thing Now – Former Everton Man Wants Toffees Star Back In Form

Former Everton star Conor Coady has conceded that Dominic Calvert-Lewin will accept any scrappy finish to end his goal drought.

 

Calvert-Lewin has not scored a Premier League goal since October and missed a couple of opportunities in Everton’s 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace at Goodison Park on Monday night.

 

He has continued to start regularly for Everton and Sean Dyche has been giving his unwavering support, but the forward is still struggling to break his goal drought.

 

 

 

Coady conceded that at this stage Calvert-Lewin will accept any scrappy finish as long as the ball nestles in the back of the net for him.

 

The former Everton star stressed that everyone is aware that he remains the number one striker at Goodison Park and for the Toffees to do well they need Calvert-Lewin to get on to the scoresheet as soon as possible.

 

 

Coady said post match on Premier League Productions: “He needs anything.

 

“Just a tap-in at the back post, anything off his back or his shoulders, anything to get him on a bit of a run.

 

 

“I think you’ll see a different Dominic Calvert-Lewin as it has been a while now since he has scored.

 

“We all know that he is Everton’s main man and everyone knows that he needs to be scoring goals for Everton to succeed.

 

“I think it’s a big thing now going into the next few games that he scores a goal.”

 

Calvert-Lewin is likely to start when Everton take on Brighton at the Amex Stadium on Saturday.
