I’ve figured out how to get my clothes dry even quicker on the line – and everyone’s mad they didn’t think of it first
A WOMAN has shared the genius way she gets her laundry dry even quicker when it’s on the line.
Jess explained the clever tip in a Reel on her Instagram page, as she said it’s been a game changer for her.
She actually credited her father-in-law with coming up with the idea, which involved weaving a chain link through the normal washing line.
Then, Jess can put her wet washing on hangers, and hang the hangers into the links.
When it’s really windy outside, Jess adds a clip on top to ensure the hangers stay in place.
“I can fit tons of laundry on a very small amount of clothes line using this method,” she said.
Although there’s one item she doesn’t put on hangers – “wet, heavy clothing”, as doing so would “stretch out the shoulders”.
“My father-in-law put this up for us years ago and I’ve marveled at his ingenuity ever since!” Jess concluded.

As well as preventing the need for using the tumble dryer, using Jess’ method also means you’re less likely to have to iron your laundry when it’s dry.
Air drying is one of the best ways to get rid of creases and wrinkles in clothes.
