HAVING topped a tough pool in the group stage, Borussia Dortmund are favourites to see off PSV Eindhoven and reach the Champions League quarter-finals, but will it play out that way?
Here are the latest match odds for PSV Eindhoven vs Borussia Dortmund from our top-rated football bookies. Odds are subject to change.
Dortmund are slight favourites to progress from what the bookies consider to be one of the most competitive Champions League last-16 ties.
However, PSV have proven very difficult to beat this season – just two defeats in all competitions and none on home soil.
They’ve dominated the Dutch Eredivisie, winning 20 of 22 games so far, but they’ve not found it so easy in Europe with just two of six group games won as they finished behind Arsenal.
Dortmund topped a tricky pool containing PSG, Milan and Newcastle and they are also proving tough to beat, coming into this one on a nine-game unbeaten run.
Striker Niclas Fullkrug is in fine form, scoring six goals in his last five, so the injured Sebastien Haller may not be missed.
However, both teams did struggle to find the net regularly during the group phase before Christmas, so another game with defences on top could be forthcoming.

Both of these sides have scored pretty freely domestically, especially PSV, but they’ve found it much harder against Europe’s elite.
Dortmund topped their group but scored only seven goals in doing so – no side who reached the last 16 scored fewer.
And despite averaging more than three per game in the Netherlands, PSV managed only eight in their six group-stage matches.
Throw in the fact that this is the first of two legs in the tie and playing the unders makes appeal at the price.

Dortmund winger Malen returns to face his former club here and could be a spot of value to be carded.
He’s been booked in his last three games in the Bundesliga, while there’s a strict referee in charge – Srdjan Jovanovic has shown at least four cards in 32 of his last 45 UEFA club appointments.
Malen is out at 13/2 in the market which looks worth an interest.

Fullkrug is in fine form having scored six goals in his last five games for Dortmund and he looks the value call in the goalscorer markets.
He’s 2/1 to find the net at any time but, with a low-scoring game already predicted (see above), it’s probably best to side with the German international in the first-goal market.
Despite their tight defensive record domestically, PSV conceded first in four of their six group games in this competition.
