Kylie Minogue Gets Classic in Louboutins for the 2024 People’s Choice Awards
Kylie Minogue brought a sleek shoe silhouette to the 2024 People’s Choice Awards red carpet on Sunday. Minogue wore a pair of Christian Louboutin sandals for the event, which was held at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif.
Minogue’s sandals were Louboutin’s pair of the French brand’s Rosalie 100 leather sandals from their fall 2021 collection. The $895 shoes, adorned with Christian Louboutin’s signature cherry red sole, each featured a slim curved strap that ran diagonally across the length of the Minogue’s foot. With a 4-inch heel and elasticated slingback strap, the leather sandals were one of only two accessories paired with Minogue’s look.
For the rest of her outfit, the star wore an emerald green gown from Raisa Vanessa. The dress, adorned with a sculptural bodice and rushed wrap skirt, featured a high side slit and draped pleating throughout the form-fitting silhouette. The gown was designed in a glossy green textile which reflected light as the star walked the red carpet. Minogue paired her ensemble with a small diamond ring on her right hand.
Usually in a much higher pair of heels, Minogue’s sleek black sandals were different from what the star has been sporting at recent events. For example, at Miu Miu’s fall 2023 fashion show during Paris Fashion Week in March of 2023, Minogue wore a pair of the brand’s platform sandals, which featured a 6-inch triangular heel, large bow adornment, and chunky outsole.
Other stars seen wearing similar footwear styles to Minogue on the 2024 PCAs red carpet were Paige DeSorbo, Erin Lim, Sri Ramesh and Scheana Shay in heeled stiletto sandals adorned with thin leather straps in a multitude of colors and textiles.
The People’s Choice Awards, which solicit votes from fans and the general public, originated in 1975. The 49th annual ceremony takes place on Feb. 18 at the Barker Hangar in Los Angeles. Hosted by “Barbie” star Simu Liu, the award show’s categories span multiple pop culture mediums including music, television, film and sports.
