America Ferrera Dons Leather Pumps at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards

America Ferrera graced the 2024 People’s Choice Awards green carpet in a striking color-blocked ensemble. On her feet, she kicked back in black pointy pumps elongating the shoe’s classic silhouette. 

Pointed-toe pumps remain a classic silhouette that add a sharp finish to any outfit. The style has gained popularity during the high heel resurgence in the past few years. It is an undeniable staple in the footwear community amongst brands like Jimmy Choo, Saint Laurent, The Attico and Paris Texas, just to name a few.

The “Ugly Betty” alum donned a look from Coach’s fall 2024 ready-to-wear collection for the occasion. Spotlighted by a larger-than-life bow at the center, the skirt made of a soft fabric featured a swing design. While the top was simple, there was a peak of mesh that added a sense of flair. As this collection marked the creative director Stuart Vevers’ tenth anniversary at Coach, he celebrated with stylish but muted colors, creativity, and nostalgia as seen in Ferrera’s ’80s-inspired getup. 

Ferrera’s hair was styled in a blunt bob making room for soft glam and the sweetheart neckline of her top. To accessorize, she went with dainty jewels on her wrist from Zales. 

While on the red carpet, the actress was joined by her “Barbie” co-star Simu Liu who opted for a monochromatic oxblood moment from head to toe. He even grounded his look in Christian Louboutin Men’s Alpha Male Velour Slip-On Oxfords in the coordinating hue. The two have much to celebrate as their film is nominated for Movie of the Year and seven other awards.

The People’s Choice Awards, which solicit votes from fans and the general public, originated in 1975. The 49th annual ceremony takes place on Feb. 18 at the Barker Hangar in Los Angeles. Hosted by “Barbie” star Simu Liu, the award show’s categories span multiple pop culture mediums including music, television, film and sports.
