The Traitors star lands huge new BBC reality job as she joins Christine McGuinness and Spencer Matthews on show
A TRAITORS star has landed a huge new reality job and will join Christine McGuinness and Spencer Matthews for an upcoming BBC show.
It’s been revealed that a whole host of famous faces have signed up for the new series of Pilgrimage, which will see them take a on challenging journey as they traverse North Wales.
Christine and Spencer, both 35, will be joined by the likes of Michaela Strachan and Friday Night Dinner star Tom Rosenthal.
But also gearing up for the challenge is Amanda Lovett, who fans will recognise from series one of The Traitors.
Speaking about joining the cast, Amanda, 54, said: “They say that if you go on a pilgrimage, there’s a hope that by the end of it there will have been some sort of realisation, so I’m looking forward to finding mine!
“I’ve always been the mum, the gran, the worker, and I sort of forgot about me. I’ve done school runs for 32 years, and I’ve found my time now.”
Amanda was one of three traitors on the first series of the BBC show.
She emerged as a fan favourite during the run but was brutally discovered and failed to make it through to the final of the programme or bag any of the cash.
But estate agent Amanda later bagged her very first presenting role on Homes Under the Hammer.
And in a twist Amanda previously confessed she was glad to have not won The Traitors.
“I enjoyed the game, the facade, but when you start getting emotionally tied – people are really hurting in there – it’s difficult then,” she told the Daily Star.
“Everybody’s our 100%, everyone was my 100% because I knew they were Faithful. So for a Traitor to go all the way and take the money, well, I couldn’t have done it, my mother would have shot me from up in heaven, like, ‘I haven’t brought you up to be like that!'”
