Marvel Studios’ Wonder Man show is struck by tragedy after crew member ‘falls to death’ on set weeks before production
A CREW member has reportedly died on the set of a Marvel television show.
The rigger was preparing for the production of Wonder Man at CBS Radford Studios in Los Angeles when they fell from the rafters on Tuesday.
The tragic death was confirmed by a Marvel spokesperson.
They said, “Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family and friends, and our support is behind the investigation into the circumstances of this accident,” Deadline reported.
Law enforcement sources said the victim was a middle-aged man, and that he was declared dead at the scene, TMZ reported.
The incident came one month before the show’s production was set to start following the WGA and SAG AFTRA strikes.
The U.S. Sun has reached out to Marvel and CBS Radford Studios for comment.
Planning for Wonder Man began back in December 2021 after showrunners Destin Cretton and Andrew Guest signed a deal to make a comedy miniseries for Disney+.
In June 2022, it was revealed that the show would follow the hero Wonder Man, who first appeared in an Avengers comic in 1964.

Wonder Man, whose name was slammed at the time for its similarities to DC’s Wonder Woman, has superhuman strength and agility due to chemical and radiation treatments.
He is set to be portrayed by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, who is known for playing Black Manta in the Aquaman movies.
Execs considered scrapping the show during the Hollywood strikes despite filming some content beforehand but decided to move forward with the series.
So far, actors Josh Gad, Ben Kingsley, Demetrius Gross and Ed Harris have all been cast.
No foul play is suspected at this time, but OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) is launching an investigation.
