I’m a size 26 and I tried on H&M’s winter coats – I’ve found a jacket that’s ‘perfection’
A WOMAN has revealed that she has tried on a selection of coats from H&M – and was left with mixed reviews.
Laura Adlington, a plus-size fashionista and Great British Bake Off star, who is a size 26, explained that she has found a jacket that is ‘perfection’, but was left feeling annoyed with one coat’s fake pockets.
The body confident fashion fan took to social media to show off her haul of winter coats.
In a short clip, that was shared with the caption ‘A little H&M try-on’, Laura said: “Had a little peruse on the H&M website, found some beautiful coats – thought I’d try them on.”
Laura started off the haul with a teddy bear style coat, as she shared: “I like it. Not the one, but I do like it.”
However, the star wasn’t totally convinced, as she added: “I can just see myself getting stains down it.”
The content creator then modelled a grey coat, as she claimed: “I feel like one of those girls from Pinterest – I just need a coffee and some sunglasses.”
But when she noticed that the coat had fake pockets, she was left fuming, as she questioned: “H&M – you’ve given me fake pockets. Why would you put a flap and no pocket?!”
Following this, Laura tried on a stunning cream jacket and added: “Next – now this is perfection, but it’s too small.
“Such good quality, I actually love it. I just don’t think it’s big enough. Gutted.”
Laura was then left with mixed emotions when she tried on a grey coat, as she shared: “Yeah, I like it. It’s a contender. Is it a bit boring though?”
To finish off the haul, Laura tried on a cream jacket, which comes with a belt, as she concluded: “Needs a steam, but I think this might be the one.
“Really love, classy.
“I think this is the perfect coat to transition from winter to spring.”
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @lauraadlington, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed 25,500 views in just one day.
Social media users were impressed with Laura’s coat haul and many took to the comments to reveal which one they like the most.
One person said: “I love the grey!”
Another added: “Love the first one.”
A third commented: “I like the last one.”
