Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya announced that 22 All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) have been approved under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana. The institutes provide teaching, research, and patient care services in 16 locations across India. Six of the 16 AIIMS are fully functional, while six are in various stages of operationalisation.
