TAYLOR Swift won big when it came to awards at Sunday night’s Grammys, but a stylist says her red carpet look was one of the evening’s fashion flops.
The style pro listed the Shake It Off hitmaker among the worst dressed for going bridal — and she was joined there by some of her go-to musical collaborators.
On Sunday, Los Angeles’ biggest music event of the year saw the likes of Taylor, Miley Cyrus, and Mariah Carey hit the red carpet.
With an array of outfits put together by the world’s best stylists and design houses, expectations were high outside the Crypto.com arena.
But just because the outfits were worth of fortune — and many stars splashed out on professional stylists — doesn’t mean they all looked like a million bucks.
“The Grammy 2024 red carpet was so unimpressive, mediocre, and lackluster,” Stylist Amanda Sanders told The U.S. Sun.
“I would all usually be avant-garde and creative, especially since music is how you express yourself.
“None of the celebrities brought their A-game.
“They played it safe with no stylists bothering to find better gowns,” she said.
While the bar may be low for Sanders, she listed off her favorite looks of the night — and the ones she wishes stars would have rethought.
Taylor, 34, was the frontrunner at this year’s awards and became the first performer to win the prize for Album of the Year four times.
The Anti-Hero singer — who announced her much-anticipated new album on stage — wore a custom white Schiarpelli dress, Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, and black gloves.
But Sanders said the overall effect “did not make sense.”
“Taylor Swift was the worst dressed because her own overwhelmed her,” she said.
“Taylor’s black shoes, gloves, and jewelry look did not work,” Sanders said.
“Her hair was terrible as it looked like somebody braided one side and left it.
“The dress was too long and too big for an event where she would get up and dance and have fun.”
This was Taylor dreaming of being a bride but not knowing how she fits in yet.

Taylor is famously dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce but appeared at the event solo.
Still, Sanders sees a nod to the star’s relationship in her outfit choice of the evening.
“She was channeling getting engaged and married, but the dress did not make sense,” she said.
“It was the type of dress Carrie Bradshaw would have worn in Sex and The City.
“This was Taylor dreaming of being a bride but not knowing how she fits in yet.”
She claimed the Shake It Off hitmaker tried to push a relationship statement via the “overwhelming gown” but showed she was “struggling” with who she is.
“This was a statement, but unfortunately for one of the world’s wealthiest women, it shows she is struggling with who she is.
Taylor took some time to pose with her Snow on the Beach collaborator Lana, 38, who also made Sanders’ worst-dressed list.
Lana wore a floral black semi-sheer dress with shoulder pads and puff sleeves, which she teamed with a bow in her hair and black gloves.
The Let The Light In singer was up for five awards.
It was as if Lana had pulled this from her closet, and somebody tried to style it to make it more interesting.

Sanders said Lana Del Rey looked as if she was going to her grandmother’s funeral.
“It looked very 50s and very heavy,” she said.
“Lana looked very strange with the gloves, dark hair, and then dark dress. Even the length of it didn’t make sense.
“It was as if Lana had pulled this from her closet, and somebody tried to style it to make it more interesting.”
“There was a total disconnect with the red glasses and lipstick.”
Miley, 31, hit the red carpet in a skimpy gold mesh dress with metal underwear and matching Christian Louboutin gold shoes.
The Flowers singer later changed out of her custom Maison Margiela naked dress into a bespoke brown Gucci number.
“Miley Cyrus was the only one who went out there and tried to do some wow,” said Sanders.
Rapper and singer Doja Cat, 28, had the name of her red carpet designer written on her forehead.
Dilara Findikoglu’s dress was a sheer strapless number that showed off plenty of Doja’s temporary tattoos.
The Paint the Town Red singer is known for dressing with a twist.
“This design did nothing for Doja and was like The Emperor’s New Clothes,” said Sanders.
“We could not see if it was a dress or if it was all just showcasing her tattoos.
“Doja’s hair and makeup had nothing to do with the dress and the shoes.”
The Vampire singer wore a cream silk Versace dress with sequin embellishments.
Going glam, Olivia, 20, added red lipstick and wore her hair down.
The High School Musical: The Musical: The Series star’s dress was a vintage gown worn in 1995 by the supermodel Linda Evangelista.
“This was a good choice in dress for the red carpet,” said Sanders.
“It was eye-catching in white and was archival.
“Olivia’s hair and makeup also worked because it was so simple and set off the dress.
“The complete look did not give her the wow factor, but she looked pretty.”
Billie, 22, was among the youngest artists nominated at this year’s Grammys.
She wore a Barbie-themed bomber jacket by Chrome Hearts for the red carpet, matching it with a white button-down shirt and black pants.
On stage, the seven-time Grammy winner wore a pink headscarf, green dress, pink shirt, and white cardigan.
“Billie does not care about what she looks like anyway and likes to show this rebellious streak,” said Sanders.
“But these outfits would have looked better for the Grammys at the MTV Awards.
“So many other people dressed terribly, though Billie Eilish tentatively got away with not bothering at all this year.”
Pop icon Mariah, 54, was dressed in a Laura Basci silver gown, accentuating her waist and slim legs.
The Queen of Christmas wore her hair down and showed off natural, glowing make-up.
“Mariah Carey, although it was safe, it was very classic of her style,” said Sanders.
“This was a good silhouette and was flattering.
“Her hair and makeup are usually glam, so this all looked appropriate for the moment and was cohesive.”
Another Taylor Swift collaborator, Ice Spice, 24, arrived on the red carpet in a denim jacket and skirt with a faux fur trim.
The New York rapper’s outfit was by Kimora Lee Simmons’s Y2K brand Baby Phat.
She accessorized with a belt, cross necklace, and gold heels.
“This would have been cool for the MTV Awards in the 90s,” said Sanders.
“It is just really strange people chose this at the cost.
“It was denim, and this was a night affair, but like, who chose the fur to match her hair?”
Mom of four Chrissy, 38, hit the red carpet with her husband John Legend.
The model and author had chosen a black mini-dress with a shock of pink in the form of a ruffled flower.
John, 45, was dressed in a black suit, a black satin shirt, and a loose tie.
“Chrissy Teigen’s look was very fun,” said Sanders.
“She has awesome legs and looked great.
“John and Chrissy looked like a great couple as if they used the same stylist, but their look was very cohesive, and that worked.”
Kylie, 55, rocked up in a custom Dolce & Gabbana floor-length red gown with a matching cape and fitted corset.
The Aussie pop star already won the Grammy for Best Pop Recording for her song, Padam Padam.
“Kylie Minogue’s dress did not suit her at all,” said Sanders.
Though she thinks Kylie usually looks amazing, she described this dress as “overwhelming.”
“Kylie is petite, so this D&G dress was not fitted or snatched enough to give her a true waist.”
Lainey, 31, reportedly wanted to channel Johnny Cash at the 2024 Grammys.
The country star hit the red carpet in a smart black suit with flared pants by Olivier Rousteing for Balmain.
“This was true to her character with the bell bottoms, and it looks like one of the best outfits because it was just a black suit,” said Sanders.
“It was a nice tuxedo and waistcoat which worked.
“The gold chains, buttons, and the hat showed individuality and a touch of glamor.”
