I had a classic embarrassing wardrobe malfunction – I walked through an airport & took the train home before I realized
IN the hierarchy of fashion fails, this one has to rate pretty highly.
It was a classic embarrassing wardrobe malfunction for one woman, who didn’t realize until after countless people had likely seen.
There was no upside to this tale and the young lady is likely to cringe at the memory for some time yet.
Charlotte Mary Wen (@charmarywen) could only hang her head in despair.
She had walked through an airport and took a train home before she even noticed something was amiss.
When she did eventually realize, it was mortification on an epic scale for her.
Charlotte is a singer and performer, but this was not the sort of performance she wants to remember.
She was dressed casually for her journey, a sweater, black jeans, and sneakers.
But when she got home and caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror, she wanted the ground to swallow her up.
“Sent this to my family chat as soon as I looked in the mirror,” she said.
Her jean zipper was completely open, undone, kaput.
“I realized this is how I looked when I got home from the airport,” she admitted.
She had passed an awful lot of people and no one had indicated there was anything wrong.
“That’s walking through LGA, riding the M60 bus, standing on my train, and walking home,” she wrote.
But she has finally managed to see the funny side of things and is now able to smile about her fashion fail.
One commenter had an observation, however, “You’ve got to find some better friends.”
Something similar happened to this person, “I used a public bathroom and zipped my pants but for some reason forgot to buckle my belt. Walked around like that until I noticed. I wanted to die.”
And for this person, their wardrobe malfunction is something she would prefer to forget.
“I walked into the 7-11 earlier today and as I was filling up my Big Gulp. I realized my zipper was down It explains the smile from the guy at the door.”
