The Super Bowl is the biggest sports betting event of the year, and the big bets have already started flowing in for the Super Bowl between the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs.
It’s rare to have a seven-figure wager come in this early on the Big Game, but that’s exactly what happened at Caesars Sportsbook in Michigan on Tuesday morning.
As first reported by Todd Dewey of the Las Vegas Review-Journal and confirmed by For The Win, one bettor wagered $1 million on the 49ers moneyline at -120 odds. The wager would win just over $833,000 if San Francisco is victorious over Patrick Mahomes’ Chiefs on Feb. 11 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
It is the first reported seven-figure bet on this year’s Super Bowl. There were six reported bets of seven figures at Super Bowl LVII between the Chiefs and Eagles.
