Realizing that she was fighting an uphill battle for reelection in Colorado's 3rd Congressional District, far-right Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) moved to an area that's even more conservative: Colorado's 4th Congressional District, where she is hoping to take over the seat presently held by resigning GOP Rep. Ken Buck in 2024.
But Boebert is finding that the 4th is also a heavy lift. In a recent straw poll among Republican primary candidates in that race, Boebert came in fifth.
Another ultra-MAGA GOP congresswoman, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, is reminding Boebert that she faces a tough battle in her new district.
Greene told The Hill's Kevin Cirilli, "I think she's got to earn those people's support. I saw that she came in fifth place in the straw poll over the weekend, which she should be very concerned about."
The Georgia Republican added, "I think that's a serious primary, and it seems like there's some good candidates in there. We'll see what's happening with the polling and the direction it's going in."
Although Boebert and Greene are both Donald Trump loyalists, there has been bad blood between the MAGA Republicans.
